Assistance for Business Facilities and Fish Processing is Being Distributed, Indra: Don't Sell Them

After attending the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ar-Rahmaan Mosque in Talumolo Village, Dumbo Raya District, Thursday (19/6/2025), the Deputy Mayor of Gorontalo, Indra Gobel, continued the government's agenda by handing over business facilities to fishermen, livestock breeders, and fisheries MSMEs, and also distributing processed fish to 100 families at risk of stunting.The activity, which was held in the hall of the Gorontalo City Food Service office, was attended by OPD officials and representatives of beneficiary groups from all sub-districts."Although simple, this activity carries great enthusiasm. We want to help business owners and simultaneously reduce stunting rates. May all our efforts today receive the blessing of Allah SWT," Indra Gobel said in his remarks.He emphasized that all of this assistance is free of charge, and if it is found that it is not being optimally utilized or is being traded, the government will withdraw it and hand it over to another party who is more deserving.The Gorontalo City Government hopes that this program will not only boost community economic productivity but also reduce stunting rates through fishery-based nutritional interventions."We're not just helping fishermen or livestock farmers today. We're helping our children's future, so they can grow up healthy and strong," concluded Indra Gobel.Meanwhile, based on the committee's report, the assistance provided was divided into four main sectors and handed over to 15 fishing groups in Dumbo Raya, Hulonthalangi, and Kota Barat Districts.The aid distributed included seven 15-horsepower outboard motors, 19 5.5-horsepower katinting motors, 21 stainless steel tables, 45 fiber coolers, 100 pouches of tuna floss, cakalang pickles, tuna and cakalang nuggets, and 100 packages of fish balls.Next, 800 pullet chickens (laying hens), 100 sacks of layer feed, 100 chicken coops, 2,000 super chickens, and 100 sacks of starter.This assistance is funded by fiscal incentive funds (DIF) and local revenue (PAD) through the Gorontalo City Regional Budget for the 2025 fiscal year.
