"This morning, we were ordered by the mayor to supervise the demolition of the building in front of Bioklinik Hospital which violated the applicable regulations," said the Head of the Gorontalo City Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Mulki Datau, Wednesday (16/4/2025).Mulki explained that the regulation regarding the prohibition on constructing buildings on canals is stated in the regional regulation (Perda) concerning regional spatial planning (RTRW) number 9 of 2019."The building that was demolished was built right on top of a canal, thus violating the Regional Regulation on RTRW," While carrying out supervision, Mulki also instructed his officers to warn residents around Bioklinik Hospital to immediately dismantle the buildings above the canal.Even the residents who were reminded didn't object to their buildings being demolished.
