North Gorontalo Deemed Most Ready for “Garuda School” Construction Site

This commitment was demonstrated through a working visit by the Vice Governor of Gorontalo, Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie, to North Gorontalo Regency on Tuesday (April 7, 2026). ​During the inspection, the Vice Governor was accompanied by the Head of the Education and Culture Office of Gorontalo Province, Sudarman Samad, and Special Staff member Ramla Habibie. They were received directly by the Regional Secretary of North Gorontalo Regency, Suleman Lakoro, and his staff. ​Based on the field inspection results, the location in Botuwombato Village, Kwandang District, is considered to have several strategic advantages over previously considered locations. In addition to land readiness, the area offers natural scenery that supports the development of a representative educational zone. ​”This location has advantages in terms of its view, which is very supportive, with sea and hill panoramas that can be a unique attraction,” said Idah. ​Regarding accessibility, the location is also considered adequate. The distance from the main road to the land site is approximately 500 meters. Meanwhile, access from the airport to the site is relatively close, with an estimated travel time of about 25 minutes. ​The Vice Governor also explained that the Gorontalo Provincial Government had previously proposed a location for the Garuda School in Boalemo Regency. However, based on an inspection by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology some time ago, that location did not receive approval as
