During the Kota Tengah District level development planning meeting (Musrenbang) on ​​Monday (February 24, 2025), the Gorontalo City Government received various proposals from residents. These included revitalizing urban drainage channels, improving roads, repairing bridges, renovating sports fields, constructing or repairing neighborhood roads, and constructing and improving school infrastructure and facilities. "In addition, there were also proposals for the procurement of Posyandu infrastructure and facilities, installing new and repairing streetlights, providing sludge suction equipment, and constructing and repairing toilets," said Meydi N. Silangen, Head of the Regional Planning, Research, and Development Agency (Bapppeda), after the event. Furthermore, Meydi stated that residents also aspired to the acquisition of cemetery land, the development of Liluwo Market, the development of Kalimadu traders, training in corpse washing, and business capital assistance, as well as other social assistance. Of these proposals, those relevant to the Gorontalo City Government's 2026 priority program were waste management and the procurement of waste collection equipment.
