Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) Seizes 251 Bottles of Liquor in a Special Raid, Targeting Six Districts

The Gorontalo City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) again held a raid on social ills (Pekat) on Sunday, May 10, 2026. This operation targeted the distribution of alcoholic beverages (Miras) at a number of points and succeeded in securing hundreds of bottles of various types.During the activity, the team managed to confiscate a total of 251 bottles of liquor. The details are: 183 bottles of 600 milliliter cap tikus, 30 bottles of Bintang Beer, 2 bottles of black beer, 24 bottles of Kasegaran, 5 bottles of draft beer, and 7 bottles of mixed drinks.The raids were carried out simultaneously in six sub-districts considered vulnerable to the circulation of alcoholic beverages, namely West City, Dungingi, Central City, Dumbo Raya, South City, and North City. Officers searched a number of stalls and locations suspected of being used to store and sell alcoholic beverages without a permit.This operation is part of the Gorontalo City Government's ongoing efforts to maintain public order and suppress activities that have the potential to disrupt public safety and comfort.Satpol PP emphasized that enforcement will continue to be carried out routinely, especially in areas of concern. In addition to confiscating evidence, officers also provided guidance to business owners so that they no longer sell alcoholic beverages illegally.With the results of this raid, the government hopes to narrow the scope for the circulation of illegal alcoholic beverages and create a more conducive environment in Gorontalo City.
