Street Food 2026 is Ready to be Held, with 300 MSMEs to Participate

A total of 300 MSMEs will take part in the Street Food event held by the Gorontalo City Government on May 8-9, 2026.This was revealed at the opening of the socialization activity for strengthening MSMEs and preparing MSME Street Food which took place at the Banthayo Lo Yiladia (BLY) Hall, Thursday (7/5/2026)."According to information from the Gorontalo City Manpower, Cooperatives, and UMK Office, a total of 300 MSMEs have registered," said Gorontalo City Regional Secretary Ismail Madjid while giving a speech at the event.Street Food itself will be held along the road from the Governor's Official Residence (Rudis) to the McDonald's intersection. Regional Secretary Ismail stated that Street Food is an effort by the Gorontalo City Government to empower the people's economy through MSMEs."This is not just a routine program, but a key strategy for controlling inflation and eliminating extreme poverty in Gorontalo City," said Regional Secretary Ismail.He emphasized that the government's main target at this event is to encourage MSMEs to be able to "move up a class".On that occasion, Regional Secretary Ismail also encouraged the 300 business actors, as well as the wider community, to utilize the power of social media in promoting local potential. This digitalization step is expected to expand market reach, so that superior regional products can attract the interest of visitors from various corners.Through synergy between government policies and the digital creativity of business actors, Gorontalo City is optimistic that it can build a resilient, independent, and globally competitive economic ecosystem.
