Street Food Event: Transportation Agency Prepares Parking and Road Closure Scheme

The Gorontalo City Transportation Agency (Dishub) has deployed its personnel to oversee the Street Food event which stretches 2.1 kilometers, starting from beside the Governor's Official Residence to the area in front of the McDonald's outlet which will take place today until tomorrow.The Head of the Gorontalo City Transportation Agency, Hermanto Saleh, explained that this security will be carried out together with the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) to ensure the smooth running of the event and traffic.Special preparations have been made to arrange parking points for visitors.Hermanto explained that parking locations have been prepared on several roads, where the right side of Jalan Nani Wartabone and the right side of the road in the HB Jassin area, formerly Jalan Agus Salim will be used as parking pockets for the public.Specifically for routes on National Roads, Hermanto emphasized that there will be no parking fees. However, for parking pockets located on city roads, levies will still be imposed in accordance with the applicable Regional Regulations (Perda).Regarding road access, the road closure will begin at 17.00 WITA.MSMEs are given one hour to load their merchandise onto the site before the road is officially closed completely after Maghrib prayers, or around 6:15 to 6:30 p.m. WITA. Hermanto also ensured that the Street Food agenda would not disrupt the departure activities of the Prospective Hajj Pilgrims (JCH) which coincidentally was also scheduled for May 9, because his party had prepared a backup scheme.Through this opportunity, Hermanto expressed his apologies to the public, especially road users who frequently pass through the Nani Wartabone and HB Jassin routes, for any potential inconvenience that may arise. Considering that Street Food is planned to be a regular event every Saturday and Sunday night by the Gorontalo City Government.He urged drivers to start adjusting their routes and directions well in advance to avoid getting stuck in traffic jams in the central activity areas.
